What fun!! I’ve never tried that before, but I have seen many pictures of the native American horses with all sorts of paint on them. I sure do wish you would come to the east coast, Lesley…..

Cool… I guess you know those are Indian war paint symbols that have meanings. The circle around the horse’s eye is to indicate alert vision. The hand print shows that the horse knocked down an enemy and the stripes on the front legs are to please the Indian’s god of war. I can’t tell what is painted on the horse’s neck under the mane. I love Indian symbols… especially on horses.

I did that to my mare one Halloween with glow in the dark paint. The stable we boarded at did a haunted ranch house thing every year. So I went out each night and shined a flash light on the paint and she made quite a spectacle as a “ghost” horse!

Well, before breakfast this morning, I was sleeping–and then I fed my two minis.
But it’s really not as exciting as painting a horse!

This would definitely be a reason to have a light-colored horse. Sounds like Indian decorated their horses the same way pilots did their planes in WW2.

hi lesley, I am just starting out with pastels and want to know the best way to start out?
I have bought nupastels and I have some softer ones too but am still a little baffled.
