Lesley’s Magic Hands

Lesley's Magic Hands
Here is a photo and note from Pat, who attended Lesley’s recent workshop:

” Pat here, from Canada. I had a great time at the art workshop and the business workshop. I met some wonderful people and picked up some new techniques…The photo is of Lesley doing a demo of our golden retriever puppies.

Lesley announced a horse workshop in June and has a list of folks ready to attend. She also nailed down some dates in March, too ( March 13th, 14th, 15th, 2010 ).”

Not a great photo at that but I was busy watching the demo. :-)

Ah, that sounds like so much fun!! I bet people learned a lot from that workshop–and had lots of fun doing so. :D If it would ever be possible, I think it would be awesome if you did a workshop in the Midwest sometime, Lesley. ;)

  3. Helen Says:

I wish I could join one of your workshops some day, it seems like you´re a great teacher. :)

  4. Ian Says:

I am determined to fly from the U.K to one of the workshops, please keep me posted with the dates Lesley; also I can’t wait for the DVD to be available.
Best wishes and continuing support, Ian.

    Hi Lesley,
I have been working on my puppies… but I can’t remember what pencil you said to use at the end for the whiskers. I remember you mentioning one that was great for whiskers and for signing your name.

I would LOVE to join a workshop!! But cant visit the USA.
So, whenever your DVD is available - let me know!

  7. Paula Says:

Oh boy wish I could watch her magic hand work in person

  8. Lesley Harrison Says:

    Marianne,

I sign my name with a Faber Castell Piti artist pen. The whiskers can be done with the sharp edge of a NuPastels, a pastel pencil or one of those pencils that writes on glass etc.

  9. Patricia Nadarajah Says:

    Lesley,

You should see Marianne’s puppies, you would be very proud!!! She was an excellent student.

Sonia sent me a photo of hers as well, you would be very proud there as well.

    Lesley,

I’m so glad to hear and see that your workshops are doing so well! You are such an amazing teacher and I learned so much from the workshop in Spokane. In fact, I just got done with my first pastel piece of one of my kitties. Finishing the ears were kind of intimidating though…. :)

  11. Lesley Harrison Says:

    Mariah,

Wonderful to hear from you and I’m thrilled that you are still working with pastel. I was so impressed with your talent.

  12. Lisa Cumming Says:

Lesley, I’ve owned and loved your book for a few years now and even emailed you once (you did reply, much to my delight!) - but babies and time took over… This is my first visit to your blog site and I want to join in ! This seems as good a topic as any - there’s clearly a big following for your work here in the UK Lesley, do you think if we harass you enough we could get you over here for one giant workshop that we could all take part in? I’d travel to any part of the country for it. Lisa
(Wishing you and John both strength and all the best for a speedy recovery)
